DXG Luxe 1080p Slim HD Camcorder @ MomSpotted

I love taking pictures but sadly I haven't taken much videos due to the fact I just don't have a camcorder.  With 3 kids, they grow up SO fast and I'm feeling like I'm going to miss out on video taping their youth.  I want them to be able to look back and say "I can't believe I wore that, or I can't believe I cut my hair like that."  I'm hoping I can win one at momspotted so I can be able to capture my kids since pictures don't really capture their movements and quirks.

Ozeri: Turtlemeter @ Momma Told me

When my older 2 kids were younger, I would have loved to have this product available.  Being a young mom, I was always paranoid about one of my kids getting hurt.  I was always afraid of the water being too cold to where they would get sick, or too hot to where they would burn themselves.  I don't have to worry about that anymore because the turtlemeter will tell me!   I really want this for my youngest because he will think its a toy and I would know what the water temperature is.

3 winners!  Ends 10/30

Kids of all ages can ride this since it goes up to 200 lbs.

Family Fun!

We went to a local corn maze place yesterday with a friends of ours.  I have to say that I was disappointed in the location that I chose.  Do NOT go to Colonel Cob in Oxford, GA!  Waste of money!!  All they had was a slide and a bouncy house where the kids played on it for a few minutes.  The "Go-Carts" which was just a big modified version of a pedal cart, they only had 2 available and the other 2 were broken and just sitting on the track.  The corn maze itself was pathetic, there was no real "maze" just a bunch of trail and broken corn stalks. It was just very very small and just not worth the money.
But I think I got some decent pictures of the kids.  Here are a few.

Just Fine the Way They Are Book Review

Book Title: Just Fine The Way They Are
from Dirt Roads to Rail Roads to Interstates
Author:  Connie Nordhielm Wooldridge
ISBN-13: 978-1590787106
Reading Ages: 9-12

I got this book to review and I sat down with my 6 year old son to read together.  He is an advanced reader and he really enjoyed this book.  He’s at the age where history is exciting and interesting for him and add that with his love for cars, it’s a perfect book for him to enjoy.  It talks about the history and how we got the roads we drive on today.
It all started in the 1800’s when they 1st came up with the idea of concrete roads called the National Road.  Before any kind of roads, it was just dirt that the horses and carriages drove on.  Once the roads were built, Horses and Carriages were able to travel faster bringing items from town to town.
Then, they came up with the ideas of railroads.  Where you can travel across country without the bumpiness of a concrete road full of potholes and horses and carriages.  It allowed people to travel in style and comfort as well allowed them to carry freight from one part of the country to the other part.
Then in 1900’s The 1st Automobile was made so that allowed drivers to travel at their own pleasure and go where they wanted to go.   They didn’t have to follow the railroad’s schedule and locations.  From then, they decided to make roads that expanded past where the national road ended.   Due to a lot of traffic and how fast people wanted to go, they decided to make interstates where people can get on and off to go to town.
This was a very interesting and informative book.  It talks about 200 years of history and how things progressed from dirt roads to interstates.
This is a great book to read especially in history class.  Teachers can find LessonPlans at the author’s website.
